Clothing size guide
Use the measurement chart for the exact garment. MEL carries different cuts, so S, M and L are labels rather than a universal body chart. Garment measurements, body measurements and unstretched elastic measurements are different; read the chart’s description before comparing them.
- Body: measure bust/chest, natural waist and fullest hip without pulling the tape tight.
- Favorite garment: lay a similar item flat and compare its width and length.
- Fit: allow the movement you need and check the actual product’s size chart.
| Garment | Priority measurements | Fit detail |
|---|---|---|
| Harem pants | Waist range, hip, rise, inseam and total length | A roomy leg does not establish the waist fit |
| Shirt or jacket | Chest/bust, shoulders, sleeves and length | Check whether the chart measures one flat side or full circumference |
| Dress or skirt | Bust where relevant, waist, hip and length | Consider closure and fabric stretch |
| Two-piece set | Top and bottom measurements separately | One part fitting does not guarantee the other part will fit |
Compare like with like
A flat width of 50 cm is approximately 100 cm around the garment, before seam and shape differences. Do not compare a single flat-side measurement directly with your body circumference. Stretch ranges should be stated by the product; do not infer them from a photo.
Between sizes or choosing M?
Use the most restrictive measurement for the cut, then consider your preferred looseness. Do not size down solely because pants look loose or a top looks oversized. If a listed chart lacks the measurement you need, send us the product link for a check.
Clothing size exchanges
Try the garment on carefully indoors, retaining tags and packaging. Do not wash or wear it outside while deciding. Contact us within the 45-day return request window; we will confirm return instructions and the availability of your preferred replacement size.
